Kettner's Townhouse, Soho, London

We worked with the design team at Soho House In-house Design Build to create a palette of furniture for 33 hotel rooms in this historic Georgian building in the heart of Soho.

Beginning work in late 2016, we responded to the initial design concepts from the Soho House design team.  The items we produced for the Mock Up room included, two styles of bed, the bedroom armchairs, sofas, side tables with a hidden table mechanism underneath the carrera marble top, and console tables.  The brief for the wooden items was to achieve a warmth and depth to the wood finishes so they looked more like found items, rather than produced specifically for the project.

We were eventually asked to produce more of the items in the rooms, including the metal beds, bedside tables, and wardrobes, incorporating the fridges and a room safe where required.  The upholstered items, including the headboards and bed-frames, had the classic flourishes we have come to expect from Soho House.  Using rich and luxurious materials, but within a restrained palette which takes a nod from the earthy heritage tones of the old gentlemen's clubs of London, the result is an interior which suits its city, but with a classic style.
